Issuance of the Circular regulating on the application of the International regulations on preventing sea collisions

On 6/8, Minister Dinh La Thang issued the Circular No. 19/2013/TT-BGTVT regulating on the application of the International regulations on preventing sea collisions.


This Circular includes 6 sectors, 40 articles regulating on the application of the International regulations on preventing sea collisions in 1972 and amending and supplementing number of articles

This circular is applicable to Vietnamese seagoing vessels, military vessels, public-duty vessels, fishing vessels, inland waterway crafts, hydroplanes, operating in Vietnamese seaport waters, marine navigable channel and seas; foreign seagoing vessels operating in Vietnamese seaport waters, marine navigable channel and seas.

The content of the Circular includes provisions on Regulations of navigation and ships control in all visibility range; visibility limit. Regulations on using light, flag or sound signals, light signals for cautions.

This Circular takes effect from 15/9/2013 and replace to Decision No.49/2005/QD-BGTVT date 04/10/2005 on application of the international regulations on preventing sea collisions and Decision No. 28/2007/QD-BGTVT date 25/06/2007 on amending point a and point b of part 8 of Annex 1 regulating on preventing sea collisions issued together with Decision No. 49/2005/QD-BGTVT on 04/10/2005 of the Minister of Transport.
