The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 267/KH-UBND on implementing the scheme to develop key industrial products of Hanoi in 2022.
The plan identifies several targets to be achieved: Attracting the participation of 20-25 enterprises with about 30-35 products recognized as the city's key industrial products in 2022 (of which 15-20 products will be recognized for the first time). It strives for 100% of enterprises producing key industrial products to benefit from the city's support policies. The production value of enterprises with products recognized as the city's key industrial products is expected to increase by 10-12% compared to 2021, contributing 35-40% to the city's total industrial production value and 15% to the city's total export turnover.

To fulfill the above targets, the City People's Committee will implement a group of 6 contents, including: Improving the business and investment environment for enterprises producing Hanoi's key industrial products; supporting these enterprises in science and technology development; developing human resources; selecting and honoring key industrial products; promoting trade and investment activities while supporting the city's key industrial product manufacturers; and formulating mechanisms and policies to support the development of key industrial products.
Notably, the city will organize support for 15-20 enterprises producing Hanoi's key industrial products to visit several developed industrial countries. This aims to connect them with manufacturers of modern technology and equipment to explore, research, and invest in Industry 4.0-standard technologies and equipment for their production and business operations. It will also coordinate to invite 30-40 technology and equipment manufacturers from developed industrial countries (such as the US, Japan, South Korea, etc.) to Vietnam to meet and connect with Hanoi's key industrial product manufacturers. This will create favorable conditions for local businesses to access, explore, and invest in modern, Industry 4.0-standard technology and equipment.
The city will also support 5-8 enterprises producing key industrial products that have experimental research projects or are investing in technological and equipment innovations to manufacture products using new, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving technologies and equipment. Furthermore, the city will support these enterprises in connecting with domestic research institutes, universities, and scientists to help them apply scientific and technological advancements in production, thereby bringing scientific research into practical application in the production and business operations of key industrial product manufacturers.
