Specifically, in the first 8 months of 2026, the country completed 108 social housing projects totaling 31,353 units, while breaking ground on another 107 projects comprising 152,186 units.
Regarding housing development management and the real estate market, the Ministry actively drafted and finalized advice for the Government to submit the dossier for the Law on Housing (amended) to the National Assembly for comments; and formulated the Law on Real Estate Business (amended) to present to the National Assembly for review at the First Extraordinary Session of the 16th National Assembly.
Continuing to step up the implementation of the Project to Invest in and Build at Least 1 Million Social Housing Apartments, the Ministry organized working delegations to inspect, supervise, and resolve bottlenecks in rolling out the scheme across localities. To date, 903 social housing projects are under implementation nationwide, totaling 856,368 units.
Regarding the real estate market situation, in the second quarter of 2026, the country's total supply stood at 2,084 projects (commercial housing; infrastructure investment projects for land-use rights transfers allowing residents to build self-constructed homes; and tourism/resort projects).
Nationwide, there were approximately over 100,005 successful real estate transactions.
According to reports from 25 out of 34 localities, developers' real estate inventory in Q2/2026 saw a slight increase but remained fundamentally stable.
