From 10 to 19 September 2019, AASC’s delegate Do Manh Cuong – Deputy General Director participated in the training sessions on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) as lecturer. The sessions were held by the Ministry of Finance and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The training sessions attracted over 500 delegates from the steering and drafting committees, as well as the translation and editorial teams, listed companies, provided the audience with a profound knowledge of IFRS and IAS, specifically group financial instruments (IFRS 7, IAS 32 and IFRS 9); accounting standards on assets, taxation (IAS 2, IAS 38, IAS 19 and IAS 12); standards on consolidation of financial statements (IFRS 3, IAS 27 and IFRS 10). Delegates discussed and shared their opinions and differences in practical when adopting these standards in Vietnam.
At the end of the session, Ms. Nguyen Mai Chi, Head of ACCA’s representative office in Hanoi, on behalf of ACCA, sent her regards to AASC Auditing Firm as well as Mr. Cuong for spending time, sharing valuable lessons and empirical experiences. ACCA highly appreciated Mr. Cuong’s delivery which drawed many delegates’ attention, also hope AASC would accompany ACCA in the next sessions.
